How Botox & Dysport Cosmetic Works
Wrinkles are caused by repeated movements and muscle contractions. One injection into each of the 5 points between and above the eyebrows temporarily prevents muscle contractions that cause frown lines.
Botox and Dysport are both types of botulinum toxin injections used to treat wrinkles. When injected, they relax the muscles and prevent those muscles from contracting, so they don’t react when you smile, laugh or frown. That keeps wrinkles from forming.
What to expect with treatment

Is Dysport Different From Botox Cosmetic?
Dysport® and Botox are both made from botulinum toxin type A. All botulinum toxins have the same mechanism of action: blocking the release of acetylcholine (ACh) and preventing the muscles from contracting to maintain the aesthetic effect. However, the dose of Dysport is not the same as the dose of any other botulinum toxin product and cannot be compared to the dosage of any other botulinum toxin product that you may have previously used.
